3 Month Countdown

Today I had my little update from HR. They decided not to go through the process of applying for sponsorship. Now you might wonder, well why not, Jeff is a lovable guy (apparently not)! Actually, the fees to just apply are not cheap and even if my company did apply, it doesn't guarantee me an acutal visa. The company says its just easier to hire an American and not worry about application fees and renewal fees. So there you have it, I am giving up my spot so one of your fellow comrads can work, gee, aren't I nice.

Now what? Well, I am going to move to Utah and bunk with my sister and her family for the month of June where I will study for and take the GRE, ahhh!! I do start my online classes mid-May and so I will be working on those classes and possible head to Korea/Japan to teach English, who's in? If anyone has other suggestions, send em my way.

Back on Schedule

As we all know, or well, you should all know I love my reality TV. In the past week my two favourite shows started up again, Surviviour and Amazing Race. I love the drama (good drama, not crappy stupid back-stabbing drama, even though there is a little, but with good intentions), and I also love to see where they get to travel too.

For instance, on Amazing Race the first country they ventured too is my all-time favourite place in the entire world ahhh...drum roll....SWITZERLAND! In Switzerland they had to do a 70 story bunjee jump! I was freakin' out cause I hate heights and I wasn't sure if I could have done it, it was insane! Then the teams had to haul 200 lbs of cheese from a hill top down to a shed, I was laughing so hard at them all falling and sliding down the hill. My two favourites so far: the mom and son (he is deaf), and the hick Virginians.

Survivour always proves to be a real treat. People try to be nice in the beginning, they make alliances - thinking they will last, and they try to act as if they know whats going when they really don't. This season they are in Brazil and its sweet. I don't have a favourite just yet, but we do have the token mormon who has already stripped down in the buff in order to collect water. He told the ladies it was okay to look if they wanted, ha ha!

Two weeks from today my other favourite show starts, America's Next Top Model (ANTM). I do miss our weekly get togethers at Alicia's parents place, where on most occasions Ross (her dad) would join us and give us the low down on who was cutting cut and why. They do some amazing shoots and its cool how they can make non-attractive girls good looking! Check these out.

Certain of the Uncertain

I am pretty much lost at the moment. Those of you whom I am have spoken too understand what I mean, but for the rest, well here it is.

New York has been such a great experience for me. I have always known that the time would come when I would have to face the fact that I might not get to renew my visa. Nothing has been set in stone yet, but you know, when everything seems to point in direction, you just can't help but know. I am still staying optimistic, cause thats who I am, but on the other hand, I am certain that I have no idea where I will be without the visa.

I have been doing alot of thinking and coming up with crazy ideas, like hiding out in the US undercover, or trying to travel somewhere abroad like Japan, Thailiand or even European destination, but then I would have to resort back to donating plasma to earn funds, ha ha!

Who knows what will happen, but I am certain that I don't have any idea of what that will be!

Can't Stop Laughing...too Cute

Taylor is the bomb.com. She is my neice and I can't get enough of this terror. When she first started to speak she couldn't say my name, instead I became Uncle Josh. This lasted for a good six months or so, then she started calling me Jeff. She loves anything princess which it makes it very easy when it comes to getting presents for her. For Christmas 08 I went to Wyoming to spend it with them and I was laughing constantly with her different antics. Who could forger her quoting McCaully Culkin in Home Alone 2 "up here ya horses ass", yes, she totally recited this (snicker, snicker). I will never forget her freaky eyes though, I LOVE YOU!

Qu'est-ce que C'est?

.
For New Years I had a good visit from my friends from Marseille, Julien and Laura. I know Laura from my mission and then I met Julien two years ago when I went over on my last visit in 2007. We had a blast touring all over Manhattan! I had never been to the Statue of Liberty so it was one new thing I did while they were here. Other than it being freezing we enjoyed every minute of their adventure here. Our adventures included a music lounge in the Lower East Village, taking the wrong subway which took us to Brooklyn where we found a most needed Dunkin' Donuts, and a trip to Target to get scrapbooking supplies. I love these two people and they are welcome back to Apt 5B anytime.

I blog?

I have been MIA for the past 2 months, whats the deal. I wish I could say its work, but my roommates would let you know thats all a lie. Yes we had the holidays, and then the Depew's had another family holiday after christmas and so I will be updating on those adventures. NYC is treating me well, visitors are far and few between, which is nice for a change. I will get back on the BlogTrain and get you back into the "city that never sleeps".
